This husband-wife duo consisting of bassist/pianist/guitarist Linford Detweiler and vocalist/guitarist Karin Bergquist have been around since 1989. And guess what - they're still around, producing their soft, folky sound that is equally soothing and beautiful. One example is the standout track on their 2007 album 'Trumpet Child', the song 'Born', which was written when the couple realized that their marriage was slowly falling apart. So they cancelled their tour, headed home and sat down for a night filled with painful conversation and red wine to learn to understand each other again. And the song is the result of their doing so.

In one word? Sugar. Lenka offers on her debut album, 'Lenka' (2008) sugary, feel-good pop (and I mean that in the most guilt-free, nicest way possible). With her breathy voice and whimsical tunes, combined sometimes with sprinkling piano, she makes perfect listening for a Sunday afternoon. From the pleasantly-upbeat 'Don't Let Me Fall' to the more mellow 'Skipalong', Lenka's childlike vocals will sweetly slip into your mind until you find yourself humming along.
